NIL and GSO Collaborate Again on Proficiency Testing in 2023

China NIL Research Center for Proficiency Testing (NIL) and Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization (GSO) have joined forces once again in 2023 to conduct proficiency testing (PT) programs. This renewed collaboration marks a continuation of our successful partnership initiated in 2017, aimed at enhancing laboratory competence across the seven GSO member states: United Arab Emirate,Kingdom of Bahrain,Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar State, Kuwait State, Republic of Yemen.

This year's PT programs encompassed mechanical, chemical, and performance testing of construction materials, including hot-rolled ribbed steel bars and cement. Nearly 40 laboratories across the Gulf region  participated in these programs.

This renewed collaboration in PT between NIL and GSO further strengthens our partnership and significantly contributes to enhancing the technical competence of participating laboratories. It exemplifies the crucial role of testing, inspection, and certification in supporting international trade, bringing tangible benefits to the industry and stakeholders.
